October is globally known as #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth, but in 2022 also marks the 10th year where my mum hasn't been around anymore. Unfortunately in 2012 she lost her battle to breast cancer.

To honour my mum, I will be taking on Hong Kong’s Maclehose Trail (100km) on October 28th, in one go and aim to do it in under 24hrs. I love a physical challenge and this will test my body's limits, but to be able to tie this to a great cause means even more to me. I will be taking on this challenge to raise funds for a Belgian foundation which aims to advance and support breast cancer research. The ultimate goal would be to reach 10k euro, but to reach that goal I will need your support!

I may be a little biased, but my mum was the kindest, most funny and most loving soul out there. Besides raising funds, I also aim to raise awareness around breast cancer and show support to anyone who lost a mother. Losing a mother can feel like your life is being stripped away from you and the missing never leaves your body, but knowing you are not alone can help. We are still here and we should make our mama's proud!
